| Abstract ： | 「緒言」骨格性III級症例では, 上下顎骨の不調和に伴い, 上下顎前歯部はデンタルコンペンセーションしている場合が多い. 外科手術を併用しない骨格性III級症例の矯正治療では, ディコンペンセーションに伴う前歯部被蓋の悪化, 下顎前歯やその周りの歯周組織への負担などに注意しながら治療を進めることが重要である. 近年, インプラントアンカーなどの矯正機材の進歩により下顎大臼歯を遠心移動し, 下顎前歯に負担をかけずに治療を行う報告が見られるようになってきたが, 患者の協力が得られない場合や下顎骨におけるインプラントアンカーの安定性の問題は治療経過, 結果を左右する. 一方, McLaughlinらは下顎犬歯のアンギュレーションを+3°から-3°へ変更することで骨格性III級症例に見られる犬歯のデンタルコンペンセーションを維持し, 治療上不利益となる下顎前歯の唇側傾斜を抑えている. |

| Abstract ： | [Abstract] Skeletal class III cases were treated solely by orthodontic therapy based on the method by McLaughlin et al. which properly prescribes bracket angulation of mandibular canine. Case 1 was a woman aged 26 years and 4 months. The treatment was performed with the extraction of both the maxillary and mandibular first premolars. The dynamic treatment period was 2 years and 9 months. Case 2 was a woman aged 15 years and 9 months. The treatment was performed without tooth extraction, and the dynamic treatment period was 1 year and 9 months. We herein report that in both cases, adverse effects due to decompensation were suppressed from the first medical examination. The treatment was completed while maintaining the right cap which yielded good results. |
