Abstract : 「緒言」現在, 日常の歯科臨床におけるX線撮影は広範囲に及ぶとともにきわめて頻繁に行われている. 特に歯髄・根管処置にあたっては, 施術部位が直視不可能のため, 診断はもとより術中, 術後の検査にも利用され, 治療成績の向上に大きく寄与している. しかし, X線被曝が社会的問題となっている現状から, 照射線量を減少させ, かつ確実な画像が簡便に得られる方法に関して数多くの基礎的, 臨床的研究が報告されている. 神奈川歯科大学保存学教室歯内療法講座と同放射線学教室は, 島津製作所などとの共同研究により, きわめて低線量で瞬時に歯のX線像がモニター上に撮像される装置を作製し, 歯内療法の臨床に応用しつつある. この新しく開発された歯科用X線撮像装置(以下, Dentaluxという)は, 図1と図2に示すように新開発の直径10mmの体腔管, ならびに新開発の視野径50mmの超小型蛍光増倍管(以下, I.I.と略す)を中心に構成されている.

Title : Studies for Dental Fluorographic Imaging System (Dentalux) - Fundamental Characteristics in Endodontic Practice -

Abstract : [Abstract]: It is very important to reduce the the radiation dose to both patients and dentists, because the number of taking dental radiographs is increasing extremely, recently. For this reason, the new x-ray fluorographic imaging equipment for dentistry (Dentalux) has been developed by department of Endodontics, Radiology in our school and Shimadzu corporation. Dentalux, which is composed of a intraoral x-ray tube, I.I. and TV monitor, is different in charactor from conventional dental radiographic system. The purposes of present study were 1) to investigate the relation between magnification rate and image quality, 2) to measure the radiation dose, also. The results obtained were as follows : (1) The magnification rate of fluorographic images were 2.4-2.8 times using Dentalux during clinical trial. (2) The variation of imaging magnification rate with Dentalux showed comparatively small, however, the lower central incisor showed the largest changing of it in those cases, the reduction rate was 15%. (3) Limitting resolution of Dentalux was the sharpest image of 6 times, and horizontal one was 9.7 lp/mm. (4) It was supposed that root canal length can be measured most accurately with over #20 files, and magnification rate of 3 to 4 times using Dentalux. (5) It was presumed that the integral dose of Dentalux was 1/26 compared with conventional dental x-ray machine. (6) Absorved doses to the crystalline lens and the thyroid gland were reduced to 1/68 and 1/180 respectively compared with conventional dental x-ray machine. (7) The risk of radiation exposure to the crystalline lens and the thyroid gland is almost able to disregared. The results of this study indicate that Dentalux can take image for dentistry with extremely low dose. However, it remains to be proved that this new fluorographic equipment must be improved to take better limitting resolution.
