Abstract　： 「抄録」 根管の機械的拡大清掃および根管充填を確実に行うためには, 歯牙長の正しい計測が不可欠である. 歯牙長の測定に当って, 根管用のリーマーやファイルに付したinstrument marker(stop)が必要とされ, 在来から幾つかの種類が紹介され使用されているが, これらは必ずしも臨床使用上満足すべきものではない. 歯牙長に合わせてリーマーやファイルに付したmarkerが, 最初の基準点から動かないような弾力性を示し, またX線像上でmarkerの位置が判然と確認出来, しかも自家製造が安易に行えるなどの特色を有したmarkerについて検討を試みた. その結果, われわれの考案したアマルガム用合金粉末とシリコンラバー印象材を混合した自家製instrument markerは, 根管処置時に賞用さるべき利点を有することを確認した. 「I はじめに」 抜髄または感染根管治療において, 根尖部歯周組織を損傷せずに, 徹底した根管拡大, 根管の消毒, 気密な根管充填を行うためには, 患歯の長さを予め知っておく必要がある.

Abstract　： In order to establish root canal instrumentation and adequate root canal filling, length of tooth determination is indispensable. At the mesuring procedures of tooth length, a instrument marker (stop) on the shaft of reamer or file will be needed. For this purpose, several kinds of instrument marker had been introduced, but these are not always satisfied with the endodontic practioners. Our efforts were done to produce a home made instrument marker which has adequate elasticity attached tightly to the initial position and has radiopaque characteristic to easily find out from X-ray picture. Instrument marker made from silicon rubber impression material mixed with amalgam alloy powder were found excellent in the pratice of root canal treatment.
