Abstract : [Abstract] The composition of two commercial visible light cured resin liners for a denture, TRIAD(R) and EPOREX-R, was studied. The organic constituents of the liners were characterized by gel permeation chromatography, infrared spectroscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. The inorganic content was measured by a thermal gravimetric analysis. The visco-elastic properties, such as the storage modulus (E') and tan δ, were measured by a dynamic mechanical thermal analysis. The organic constituents of TRIAD(R) comprised mainly the urethan dimethacrylate. Those of EPOREX-R included probably the bisphenol grycidyl dimethacrylate and triethylenegrycol dimethacrylate. Both TRIAD(R) and EPOREX-R contained about 24 percent inorganic substance by weight. On the other hand, those liners also contained organic-inorganic complex fillers. It is suggested that E' and tan δ values of those liners are more stiffness than the polymethyl methacrylate at above 140℃.
